We are looking for a Sector Specialist to join WRAP, providing knowledge leadership for sustainable textiles.  You will play a leading role in designing, launching and implementing a new voluntary agreement for the textiles sector in the UK, working closely with stakeholders to identify priorities, define implementation solutions and catalyse action by businesses.  A key part of this role is to support the design and execution of a strategy to tackle reduction in waste and carbon footprint, leading technical engagement with stakeholders to secure change and collaboration.

To be successful in this role you’ll need to be able to demonstrate specialist technical knowledge of the textiles sector in the UK, and be able to evidence strong relationship management experience, effective communication skills and have proven ability to bring together a wide range of stakeholders to drive change, secure commitment and aid collaborative working.  In addition to this, you will need to demonstrate evidence of relevant technical experience in the textiles value chain, including design, function, materials choice, production and procurement.  The ability to influence and negotiate, build effective working relationships and manage projects are also essential.
