Flexible (UK), with future requirement to work from our Banbury office at least one day per week

Are you a talented media relations professional who wants to save the world? If you join WRAP, the UK charity working globally to fight food waste, banish problematic plastics and fix fashion, you can.

This is an exciting time to join our tightknit team and help raise the profile of our great work with media all over the world. We need someone with passion, drive, creative ideas, a nose for a good story and a cool head in a crisis. A superhero for our age who can turn complicated research findings into breakfast news, juggle a range of priority workstreams vying for exposure and who’s happy to take on last minute activities with a smile.

If that’s you, you sound like just the right person to join our motivated and friendly team. You’ll be our media guru speaking on a global platform with media from around the world on projects that set the environmental news agenda. You’ll work with internal and external stakeholders too, from a range of sectors including business, local government and the third sector as well as the wider communications team of marketing, editorial, digital and creative specialists.

You’ll need to understand how the media works, be happy speaking with them and able to deliver high-impact media relations that captures the headlines.

This is a fast-moving role and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. You’ll be creative, agile, resilient, and great at building relationships with journalists and producers. You’ll have either agency background or experience of working in a busy in-house team and while you don’t necessarily need to have experience in environmental or sustainability comms, you do need to care about the planet as much as we do.

If this is you, and if you have a track-record of delivering brilliant media relations, we’d love to hear from you.
