Electrical Product Buying Specifications to Encourage Reuse and Repair
Closing date: 9/8/2010
This work will identify and categorise buying specifications that enable products to be repaired and built to last longer, be more upgradable, and yield higher value materials at the end of their life.
It will involve identifying current typical product build and good practice that enables repair, and ‘best in class’ practice that maximises opportunities for repair and reuse.
WRAP will use the output to work with retail, business and public-sector buyers of electronic products so that they can encourage reuse and repair in the buying specifications they set.
