This study aims to assess the environmental impacts of consumer electronics on the UK market and create a framework for comparison between products.
The purpose of this work is to update the current Quality Protocols web tool which is available at http://www.qualitycompost.org allowing scope for future integration with PLANET (Planning Land Application of Nutrients for Efficiency and the Environment – www.planet4farmers.co.uk) and other agricultural planning software.
The objective of this tender is to establish a framework of contractors able to provide Environmental and Health & Safety advisory services to WRAP.
In 2006, WRAP published Environmental Benefits of Recycling (2136 kb)

The supporting work reviewed Life Cycle Assessments from around the world to identify trends in findings. The results demonstrated that recycling offered a range of benefits over landfill and energy recovery. The work also investigated the influence of certain assumptions and approaches on the results.
WRAP now wish to repeat this earlier exercise, but to consider some different materials and waste management options.
WRAP wishes to generate reliable estimates of the amounts and types of waste generated by the UK hospitality sector, whilst at the same time gathering information on the reasons for producing waste and ways in which businesses would like to be assisted to become more resource efficient.

WRAP is calling for partners to submit proposals for projects to design, develop and trial innovative processes, solutions and approaches that will reduce household food waste and/or food waste in the supply chain.
