Supply chain product damage mapping
Closing date: 15 February 12

The purpose of the work is to better understand the extent and root causes of, as well as potential solutions to, supply chain product waste associated with the distribution and retail sectors of the food and drink grocery supply chain.

WRAP is developing a Voluntary Agreement (VA) with the UK Hospitality and Foodservice (HaFS) sector.  This voluntary agreement, due to launch by spring 2012, will focus on preventing food and associated packaging waste and increasing recycling by the UK HaFS sector.  WRAP will be responsible for the agreement and will work in partnership with organisations within the UK HaFS and their supply chain that sign up and support the delivery of the targets. This work will pilot this approach to provide support to signatories of the HaFS VA; if successful WRAP may use the same approach in future.

The purpose of the work is to provide WRAP with supply chain mapping information covering four sectors: home and workplace products; clothing; facilities management; and electrical and electronic products.
