WRAP Invites Construction to Help Shape Web Site

14 November 2006

Professionals engaged in the construction industry are being invited to input into the shape and presentation of WRAP’s future website at a series of Webportal Development Workshops hosted by WRAP (the Waste & Resources Action Programme).

WRAP would value construction professionals’ input to help ensure that the re-development of its website meets the needs of today’s construction industry. In addition to the satisfaction of sharing knowledge and gaining from the long-term benefits of an efficient delivery of WRAP resources.

The following four specialised workshops are being held to get construction industry input into the way WRAP can best deliver information and resources through its website (www.wrap.org.uk):

  • Design Workshop (28 November)
  • Construction Workshop (29 November)
  • Supply Chain Workshop (12 and 14 December)

All workshops will be held at the Institute of Materials, 1 Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1 5DB, from 12pm to 2pm.

If construction professionals are interested in attending the workshops, it’s not too late to register. They should simply email their name, organisation and contact details to hharris@camarguepr.com with the workshop/s they would like to attend or call Heidi Harris at Camargue on 01242 577277.

Editor's notes:

  1. WRAP works in partnership to encourage and enable businesses and consumers to be more efficient in their use of materials and recycle more things more often. This helps to minimise landfill, reduce carbon emissions and improve our environment.
  2. Established as a not-for-profit company in 2000, WRAP is backed by Government funding from Defra and the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
  3. Working in seven key areas (Construction, Retail, Manufacturing, Organics, Business Growth, Behavioural Change, and Local Authority Support), WRAP’s work focuses on market development and support to drive forward recycling and materials resource efficiency within these sectors, as well as wider communications and awareness activities including the multi-media national Recycle Now campaign for England.
  4. More information on all of WRAP’s programmes can be found at www.wrap.org.uk
