Wrap develops its senior team

21 October 2001
WRAP major recruitement programme heads for completion.
Regular visitors to this website will know that in recent weeks WRAP’s focus has shifted from strategy setting and planning on to the delivery of its seven programmes.

In addition, WRAP has now almost completed its major recruitment programme, and has been reviewing the senior staff resource it will need to achieve the challenging targets contained in its business plan.

As a result of that review, we have identified the need to strengthen our level of resource on programme delivery, whilst at the same time capitalising on the expertise, contacts and profile of Ray Georgeson, our Director of Policy.

WRAP’s Communications Director, Kurt Calder, has also recently decided to return to the construction sector, which has provided an opportunity to reconfigure the senior team.

WRAP is therefore creating a Programmes Department to focus on the delivery of the projects outlined in its business plan. This department will have two directors, one focused on the materials and compost programmes, and a second dealing with WRAP’s business and procurement programmes, including its work with local authorities.

Ray Georgeson will retain his main policy function of devising and developing WRAP’s overall strategy and will also take on the management of WRAP’s communications and information function.

A revised staff structure is now available.

We are in the process of recruiting the two programme directors, and further announcements will be made shortly.
