Capital Grants
WRAP occasionally has capital grants available. Details of any current capital grants are below.
If there are no suitable grants available please refer to our main funding page for other support that you may be eligible for.
We are launching a new capital grant opportunity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to provide financial assistance towards a facility (or facilities) that will be capable of sorting, recycling and reprocessing a range of mixed plastic (non bottle) packaging arisings from the domestic (household) waste stream. WRAP can offer up to £2m as a grant and providing that the total State Aid intensity does not exceed 30% of the total eligible capital costs of the project, applicants may wish to seek public funding from elsewhere.

Expansion of food waste processing capacity in Scotland only
WRAP and the Welsh Assembly Government are launching another round of their capital grant programme, which aims to help tackle the challenges of waste generated by companies in Wales.
A waste capacity study carried out jointly by Advantage West Midlands (AWM) and the Regional Technical Advisory Body on Waste (RTAB) forecasts that by 2020/21 the West Midlands (WM) will have a significant waste infrastructure capacity gap.
There is no closing date for applications, although funding is finite and available on a first come, first served basis. The Programme closes at the end of March 2011, so no further funding will be available after this date. WRAP will aim to provide a response to applicants within a maximum of four weeks of receiving a completed application form and requested documents.
