Aims
This course draws on WRAP's Waste Prevention Toolkit to provide delegates with the knowledge and understanding to enable them to deliver an effective waste prevention strategy, develop/improve action plans for the delivery of waste prevention activities, encourage the behavioural changes necessary for reductions in household waste arisings. The course includes the monitoring and evaluation of the performance of waste prevention activities.
Target audience
This course is targeted at individuals with responsibility for delivering cost-effective waste prevention activities.
Delegates may, or may not, have previously attended the WRAP Waste Prevention: a strategic approach’.
However, ‘Waste prevention: planning and delivery’ builds on the knowledge and skills acquired from the ‘Waste prevention: a strategic approach’ course. We would therefore recommend that prior to attending this course an Officer from the Local Authority attends ‘Waste prevention: A strategic approach’.
Before attending WRAP’s ‘Waste Prevention: planning and delivery’ course we recommend that delegates attend the Recycling Managers Training Course - Phase 1.
