Veolia Environmental Services – major waste and recycling contractor:

"We are encouraging residents to 'Reduce, Reuse and Recycle' as normal with all the existing arrangements in place for handling recyclable materials.

We continue to supply recycled material from our Materials Recycling Facilities (MRFs) to our wide and established reprocessor network on a regular basis. Neither landfill nor incineration of recyclates has ever been considered.

We do not expect the current market conditions to be maintained with a strong demand for recyclable materials in the medium to long-term."
