    The food we waste - a study of the amount, types and nature of the food we throw away in UK households

    This study quantifies, for the first time in an objective way, the amounts and types of food we waste as consumers in the UK.  It highlights not only quantities and financial cost but also the carbon implications of teh 6.7 million tonnes of food we waste every year.

    This study shows the staggering amounts of food we waste and is a call to action for government, retailers, food manufacturers and consumers to take action to reduce the amount of food we waste.

    The Environmental Benefits of Recycling

    The most comprehensive assessment ever undertaken, this study, comissioned by WRAP, reviewed and analysed the best Life Cycle Analysis studies from all around the world evaluating the environmental impacts of recycling compared to incineration or landfilling for seven of the most commonly recycled materials.

    The study demonstrates that recycling our waste is better for the environment than burning or burying it.
