The purpose of this job is to drive resource minimisation within the retail supply chain, particularly in food and drink. The post holder will be responsible for working with businesses to help deliver the team's Supply Chain targets on waste prevention and water minimisation. As part of this role the post holder will manage contractors delivering both waste and water minimisation projects.
The purpose of this job is to lead a team to drive delivery of WRAP's packaging optimisation targets. A key responsibility will be to deliver the packaging target within the Courtauld Commitment Phase 2. The role will cover both household and supply chain packaging, notably in the grocery sector. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that team members have the training and resources available to be effective and to ensuring that the balance of activity is designed to achieve the maximum impact.
The purpose of this job is to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to develop, review and deliver implementation plans with Courtauld Commitment signatories. This will involve the development of strong working relationships with a range of large food sector businesses at both executive and operational levels.
Provide analytical, research and evaluation support to WRAP departments to enable them to develop their work streams effectively, monitor progress towards Business Plan targets and help in the identification of further interventions towards the achievement of WRAP targets.
WRAP is supporting the construction sector in using resources more efficiently and reducing waste, thereby helping the sector achieve the Government-industry target to halve construction, demolition and excavation waste (CDEW) going to landfill by 2012. The Construction Programme is engaging with construction clients, their contractors and supply chains to encourage the adoption and implementation of good practice in reducing waste, recycling more and increasing the use of recycled and recovered materials.
