Electronic Products 'Pathfinder' Group

WRAP’s Electronic Products Pathfinder Group was the forerunner to the Electricals and Electronic Products Sustainability Action Plan (esap) and is the foundation of the research contained in our Switched on to Value report.

Working as part of the Product Sustainability Forum the role of the Pathfinder Group was to work with the electrical and electronic product sector to cut costs, reduce resource use, and build reputation for corporate responsibility by designing and manufacturing products in a different way.

Group Details

The Pathfinder Group’s work bought together a diverse range of electrical and electronic product manufacturers to:

  • Identify the most significant changes in the supply and sale of electrical and electronic products in the UK that would use less material resources, reduce cost and reduce business risk, while improving profit.
  • Implement changes on key products, measure the benefits and distil good practice.
  • Share insight on consumers understanding and attitudes to product lifetime.

Meetings & Webinars

Through a range of meeting, webinars and product studies, the group researched a number of key areas relating to electrical and electronic product manufacture, design, retail and re-use and recycling.

The research undertaken by the group has now formed a large part of the Switched on to Value report and you can find a lot of the groups work on the Switched on to Value report page.

Registered Members can also find details of the group’s previous webinars below:
