WRAP is holding a briefing session at Distil entitled 'Designing Spirits Bottles for a Changing Climate'.
Aims
This briefing session is open to all parts of the supply chain, including:
- brand owners and importers;
- bottle manufacturers and fillers;
- retailers; and
- logistics organisations.
What are the aims and benefits of this event?
At the briefing session, WRAP will unveil findings from the spirits element of the GlassRite Beer, Cider & Spirits project, report on its achievements and look forward to future work planned within the spirits industry. The project began in January 2007 with an aim to encourage lightweighting of spirits bottles sold in the UK.
The session will enable attendees to gain a better understanding of the benefits of lightweighting such as reducing their carbon footprint, meeting consumers demand for change, and the associated cost and resource efficiency benefits.
Nicola Jenkin from WRAP will chair the session and speakers will include:
- Claire Hingston (WRAP) - project overview;
- Joe Kelly (Whyte & Mackay) - brand owner perspective; and
- Helen Hughes (Design Bridge) - design perspective.
What are the costs?
This session is free, but WRAP would appreciate it if you could register your interest in order to gauge likely numbers. (See contact details top right).
