Introduction - Working in the Nations and English Regions
WRAP is funded by Defra, Department of Environment Northern Ireland, the Scottish Executive and Welsh Assembly Government. Our Business Plans have reflected the need to meet targets and obligations under European legislation affecting the whole of the UK. We are working to ensure that our wider work on resource efficiency is appropriate to the distinctive needs of the nations and regions and their differing economic bases.
The Nations
In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, we have developed a relationship and services which reflect differing priorities and delivery mechanisms. Our interaction with the funders and stakeholder in each devolved administration is managed by a national manager. We have separate delivery agreements with each of the devolved administrations, ensuring greater transparency of operation and clear accountability.
English Regions
The English Regions team works closely with Regional Development Agencies and their delivery partners in integrating additional and complementary market development activity into their programmes. We work closely with the RDAs and the BREW partners to assist in regional co-ordination.
Our programme priorities include contributing to the development of regional market development plans and commissioning further work to assist in developing regional programmes and priorities.
Please note pages for each of the 9 English Regions are under further development.

Economic Development
The Regional Economic programme of activity combines our work in the nations and regions aiming to provide business and technical advice on market development. Our programme of support gives wider access to WRAP services and expertise on the ground.
