Business Resource Efficiency and Waste Programme (BREW)

This programme started in April 2005, and uses part of the Landfill Tax paid by business to incentivise businesses to reduce the amount of waste they send to landfill and to assist them in developing ways to achieve this. This has been mostly through developing and expanding existing programmes that have already proven successful.

BREW Co-ordinator for the Northwest

Vicki O'Kelly is the BREW co-ordinator for the Northwest, she is based at the Regional Development Agency (RDA) - Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).

Part of her role is to co-ordinate resource efficiency support for the region, and make it easier for businesses to access this support including that of national BREW partners such as WRAP.
