Extending Recycling Conference – Is the UK ready for mixed plastic? - 30th October 2007

The UK has increased its plastic bottle recycling by 25%. The next great challenge for plastics recycling is how to sustainably manage the 1 million tonnes of additional mixed plastics waste  that passes through the UK domestic bin every year. Can it be recycled? should it be recycled? As part of WRAP's work on mixed plastics we held a conference to explore the issues, share knowledge and stimulate the debate.

Glass Action Day Seminar – Forging links in the glass supply chain - 25th October 2007

The benefit of increased efficiency in the use of collection and recycling of glass waste is crystal clear – providing cost savings all along the supply chain.  WRAP and British Glass are working in partnership with every link in this chain, uniting retailers, local authorities, waste management operators, reprocessors, manufacturers and fillers; to meet the challenges within the supply chain. Glass Action: Forging links in the glass recycling chain was a day of presentation and workshop sessions designed to give people at all stages of the supply chain the opportunity to share their perspectives and help steer its future.
