Paper Round Table

The Local Authority, Reprocessor and WRAP Paper Round Table has been meeting since the mid 1990's, with the objective of developing a better understanding between paper reprocessors and local authorities.

It is facilitated by PaperChain, chaired by WRAP and attended by government departments and local authorities alike.

A number of initiatives have been undertaken under the auspices of the Round Table. For example, a model contract was developed with input from reprocessors and local authorities with the aims of reducing the amount of time required in negotiating contracts and thus the cost of collecting recovered paper. In addition, a new guidance document for recovered paper quality is being produced and will be available on this website shortly.
