Industrial applications of water filtration with glass
There are a surprising number of industries that rely heavily on water filtration as part of their manufacturing process.
Whether water is an integral part of the process (e.g. food and drink industry), or used for effluent treatment (e.g. heavy engineering), the loading on the filter is often extremely heavy. Impending EU legislation is also set to impose stringent new standards which traditional sand filter systems will be hard pressed to meet.
Initial trials with Active Filter Media (AFM) recycled glass filter media have been highly encouraging and point towards a cost effective solution for all types of industry.
Main benefits:
- Capable of withstanding severe loading conditions
- Improves overall reliability of filtration system
- Quick return on investment
