Root zone
Root zone construction varies quite widely, as it depends on a number of factors, such as local soil conditions, climate, degree of organic matter and, of course, choice of sand.
Research conducted by the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) shows that processed sand is perfectably acceptable in this application, and can be used either on its own or blended with natural sand.
Main benefits:
- Increased capillary porosity.
