Sports turf

The sports turf industry is a major consumer of sand, and uses it in a wide range of applications. It is also an industry that is being challenged to find ways of reducing the environmental impact of its activities.

Having overcome initial concerns about 'sharp edges', recycled glass - in the form of "processed sand" - is proving to be a popular and effective way to demonstrate the industry's environmental commitment.
