The most helpful aspect of the course was the coursework - it wasn't just created for the course, but for the Council to take forward. The course has changed the way the Council works. Resources (both staff and budget) are used more effectively and a partnership has developed.
Emma Cocksedge, Recycling Officer - Essex County Council
WRAP's Recycling Managers Training Programme is designed to support recycling and waste managers in local authorities and those from third sector organisations or private waste management companies who are directly involved in recycling and resource efficiency.
Our varied courses develop the knowledge and skills needed to assess the performance of collection systems, identify opportunities for efficiency gains and evaluate cost-effectiveness. Courses help delegates to understand the factors that drive householder participation, and plan, deliver and monitor efficient recycling and waste prevention programmes.
If you would like to work with us to deliver a training course for your area please contact training@wrap.org.uk.
Delivery of the courses listed below is subject to continued support and funding.
