Part B -Waste Prevention Activity
Section 7: Product - Service Approaches
Section 7 - Overview
Initiatives that combine hire, lease, loan or purchase of goods with a cleaning, maintenance or other service could prevent substantial amounts of waste. Examples include:
- Laundries for ‘real’ nappies.
- Toy libraries.
- Product refill services.
Although initiatives already exist across the UK, there is plenty of scope to achieve much more. Section 7 provides a wealth of ideas and information to help you realise the potential.
