Engaging Black and Minority Ethnic Communities in Recycling Activity

The UK is a vibrant, multi-cultural society with its population made up of people of many nationalities, religions and backgrounds. The 2001 census showed that the UK is now more culturally diverse than ever before, with almost 8% of the population represented by minority ethnic groups.
A guidance document intended as a starting point for local authorities wishing to work with black and minority ethinic (BME) groups is currently being updated.
