WRAP support in practice

Cotswold District Council asked WRAP to look at the efficiency of  their refuse, dry recycling and organic waste collection service.  We identified a number of areas where operational changes could be introduced that would lead to financial savings.

Support has been provided to West Oxfordshire District Council throughout 2009/10 on the procurement of its new collection contract.

WRAP provided operational and communications support to help Barrow-in-Furness Borough Council introduce a new service with the objective of increasing recycling and limiting the waste sent for landfill.
