In Newport, South Wales, the kerbside collection service including plastic bottles is provided by community run organisation Newport Wastesavers. Weekly collections of dry recyclables, including plastic bottles, along with fortnightly collections of compostable and residual waste have helped to achieve the highest recorded recovery rates since the introduction of the scheme in 2004.
