Understanding legislation and food waste prevention in hospitality and food service

We have produced information to help the hospitality and food service sector understand relevant legislation  on food waste prevention.

The information includes:

  • A guide for managers to understand when food becomes waste, what legislation applies and how food waste can be prevented;
  • A full listing of key legislation in the Hospitality and Food Service Sector covering food waste; and
  • A "mythbuster" poster on legislation covering food waste that can be used in commercial kitchens to inform and educate staff.
