By taking a collaborative approach, leading retailers, brands,  wholesalers and food suppliers optimised practices across their supply chains to prevent waste.

Packaging protects products, increases shelf life and conveys information to consumers. Avoiding product and packaging waste means less cost and better resource efficiency, leading towards a circular economy. Nearly 800 tonnes of product and packaging waste saving opportunities were identified by IDG and the businesses in collaborating on this report.
