Updated information as of 1st April 2014
Industrial symbiosis encourages companies to adopt a collaborative approach in all aspects of their business so that resources can be recovered, reprocessed and reused elsewhere in the industrial network either by themselves or by other companies.
In England industrial symbiosis is largely delivered through the National Industrial Symbiosis Programme. NISP runs regular resource matching workshops across England.
As of 1st April 2014 WRAP funding for NISP has ceased. NISP is now a wholly owned and independently run commercial enterprise. For more information on NISP, please visit their website.
