The results were positive overall, showing little impact for some products such as gin, brandy and wine. The work also found that using green rather than clear glass cuts packaging related CO2 emissions by 20%. It’s a simple way for businesses to meet their Courtauld Commitment 2 and other packaging targets; and that increasing recycled content of packaging improves the consumers’ opinion of both retailers and products.
