  • Businesses generate approximately one quarter of all waste in England.
  • C&I waste in England was recorded to be 47.9 million tonnes in 2009, a decrease from 67.9 million tonnes in 2002-2003. 3.8 million tonnes was recorded to be animal and vegetable wastes, a reduction of over 40% since the previous survey.
