The Earthshot Prize - Waste Free World

The most prestigious environment prize this decade

WRAP is proud be partnering with The Royal Foundation in the launch and delivery of The Earthshot Prize.

The Earthshot Prize is the most ambitious and prestigious of its kind – designed to incentivise change and help to repair our planet over the next ten years. Submission to the Prize is made through a nominating partner of which WRAP is one. If you would like to submit a proposal to us for consideration please see submission details below.

The Partnership
WRAP is one of a small number of Global Alliance Partners to support The Prize.

This reflects WRAP’s position as a global leader in research and project delivery in the fields of resource management and sustainability. We work with the Earthshot Prize across each of The Earthshots but are the global lead partner on building a waste free world – the resource use category.

Over the next decade WRAP will work with the Earthshot Prize to gather together the most impactful, ambitious and aspirational solutions that lead to the building of a waste free world. We will bring our networks and knowledge base both across the UK and further afield to bear and continue to inform the strategic development of the Prize itself.

We are keen to work with funders, commissioning bodies the private sector and governments to develop as strong a portfolio of proposals as we can. Do please contact us at earthshot@wrap.org.uk if you would like to help us on this journey.

If you are an individual or organisation seeking nomination, please follow this link to submit your proposal.

Making a submission
If you would like to submit a proposal to WRAP to consider for nomination, please download and complete the form below and send to us at WRAP.

We will then assign an assessor to your proposal, consider whether we think it appropriate for nomination and let you know within two weeks of the outcome.

The form captures:

  • Your organisation’s administrative details
  • The outline of your proposal and
  • How it meets the key criteria that WRAP has set for assessing nominations: impact, scale, and opportunity.

Nominations are open to all type of organisation, partnership or individual, across all sectors and globally – and we welcome as wide and imaginative a range as possible. While we are eager to encourage ‘innovative’ solutions, we would not recommend applications that present pilots or proofs of concept and would recommend the provision of some form of evidence to underpin the proposal.
