Benefits of consistency for local authorities
Local authorities have made great progress in recycling in recent years. However, services and performance vary across England. Through the delivery of greater consistency in recycling, there are opportunities to realise further significant benefits.
A successful blueprint
The municipal recycling rate in Wales reached 60% in 2015/16. A series of videos and case studies share the experiences of Welsh local authorities following different aspects of the Welsh Government’s collections blueprint.
Topics covered include residual restrictions, food waste collections, recycling from flats and increasing recycling at household waste recycling centres.
Local authorities in Wales can contact WRAP’s Collaborative Change Programme team for support to develop their services.
