Bulky waste guidance - communications

Providing householders with a service that encourages reuse and recycling is important but communicating how the service needs to be used is vital to increasing participation. The basic principles of good communications are the same for this service as for others but there are some subtle differences when considering messaging. This section provides information on good communications and how these principles need to be adapted for bulky waste.

This section also contains templates which can be used when communicating key information; notices left with householders when operatives have been unable to collect and a check list for call centres to use to find out if the items are reusable.
