Aardvark Environmental Demonstration Report

Closing date:
31 December, 2016

This report represents one of the nine projects taken through to the demonstration phase of WRAP’s Driving Innovation in Anaerobic Digestion (DIAD) programme.  It was selected as it represented a technological innovation that could optimise and improve AD systems in the UK, making them more efficient and/or cost effective

Aardvark Environmental created an innovative pasteurisation technology specifically designed for pre-treating food waste for the small scale anaerobic digestion market.  The purpose of the demonstration project was to ascertain that at the operational scale the pasteuriser was:
• Cost effective;
• Revenue producing or operational saving;
• Robust;
• Non-technical;
• Easy to deploy and use; and
• Could achieve Animal by Product (ABP) compliant pasteurisation.
