Date and time:
Thursday, 3 March, 2016 - 09:00 - 17:00
WRAP has an exciting workshop programme for decision makers working in or with Local Authority Recycling and Waste Management in England. The workshops are to disseminate WRAP’s good practice collections guidance to those who can directly bring about change in Local Authorities and who already have an excellent or good working knowledge of the challenges and opportunities of recycling. Please do get in touch if you’d like to find out whether the workshops will meet your needs - email@example.com
The workshop topics and dates are as follows:
Tackling Contamination – *FULL* Thursday 03 March 2016. In Birmingham City Centre. This workshop aims to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to understand how to maximise the quality and minimise the contamination from their recycling collections. The workshop covers: • definition of contamination and the problems it causes from an environmental, economic and legislative point of view; • the causes of contamination and how these are relevant to your collection system; • quantifying the amount and impact of contamination; • developing a business case for reducing contamination and taking action.
Please note that these workshops are aimed primarily at Local Authorities. Other interested parties are welcome to register interest, though priority will be given to local authority delegates when allocating places.
