Davis Langdon established the recycled content of a commercial office building in Belfast. Through product substitutions, the project could have increased its overall recycled content from 29% to 33% with no additional project cost.

Key results

The results of this project indicate that 10% recycled content is easy to achieve in similar projects; and higher levels can be achieved using readily available materials. 10% is the minimum level set by the Northern Ireland Central Procurement Directorate for public sector projects.
