British Land’s mixed-use development in London showed the opportunity to gain credit for current practice, and identified ways of improving performance without increasing materials costs. The results illustrate the potential for higher recycled content in foundations, concrete slabs, roofing and internal finishes.

"British Land now requires at least 15% recycled content in its major developments, and preferably 20%”. Richard Elliot, Head of Construction, The British Land Company plc.

    Key results
