ADAS and SAC half-day workshops

WRAP recently commissioned ADAS and SAC to run a series of half-day workshops, primarily for crop advisors and technical managers, on the use of composted green waste in agriculture/horticulture.

The workshops provided detailed new information on the potential benefits from the use of compost as either a soil improver or as a surface mulch, as well as discussing issues such as regulations and compliance with agri-environment schemes and customer concerns/requirements.

The English events were delivered by ADAS Soil Scientists Selwyn Richardson, Paul Gibbs or Susie Holmes and ADAS Horticularists Janet Allen (fruit) or Nigel MacDonald (vegetables).

The Scottish events were delivered by Audrey Litterick and Alex Sinclair of SAC.
