A lighter carbon footprint - the next steps to resource efficiency
WRAP's new Business Plan 2008-2011 - launched at CIWM, 11 June 2008
WRAP is taking a fresh approach to the collective challenge of improving resource efficiency. Our goal is to ensure that the UK reduces waste and recycles as much as possible at minimum net cost. This will enable us to increase resource efficiency, reduce landfill and lessen our contribution to climate change, while generating positive economic impacts.

Our targets

8 million tonnes of waste materials diverted from landfill | 5 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions saved | £1.1 billion of economic benefits to business, local authorities and consumers |
The resource efficiency loop
WRAP uses the resource efficiency loop to describe the way our work integrates across a wider range of materials, products and sectors, and to show this work contributes to our three headline targets.
"WRAP will continue to strengthen and develop partnerships with stakeholders to help meet its Business Plan targets.
WRAP is proud to play a unique role among delivery bodies in the area of waste and resource efficiency and we look forward to using our expertise to make a significant contribution in tackling climate change."
Liz Goodwin, WRAP's Chief Executive
