About MPR

The MPR is a monthly email newsletter which focuses on prices for recovered materials. HistoricaI reports and prices are available to subscribers on the following pages.

The MPR includes prices for a number of grades of paper, glass, plastic bottles can cans predominantly those recovered from the municipal waste stream. Prices are reported as a range of typical prices per tonne of material.

In addition, the report contains commentary from market participants as to the main factors driving prices in the market. It currently has around 340 subscribers, about 100 of which are local authorities.

Subscription to the MPR - which is free of charge - is available to organisations that collect recyclable materials from the UK waste stream and who are willing and able to share their transaction prices on a confidential basis.

Subscribers are contacted on a regular basis so that they can provide a brief update on their own prices. This information is consolidated with information from other subscribers to form the report. The information presented in the report is anonymised and not attributed to any single subscriber.
