    • Green Bottle Unit - Bringing added value recycled glass products to market. 66 kb
      The Green Bottle Unit (GBU) is a small business established in 2000 manufacturing unique recycled glass products. GBU wanted to increase their production capacity and to market a range of standard products. They found securing the finance for their expansion plans a challenge, so they approached WRAP's Business Development Service.
    • Hinton Organics Case Study 399 kb
      Hinton Organics is a composting company, located near Bath, that produces 18,000 tonnes of compost per year but wanted to increase their capacity further. Through trials they recognised the need to build an in-vessel plant, giving Hinton Organics the potential to produce 40,000 tonnes of compost each year. To help raise finance for the investment they approached the business support team at WRAP.
    • Enlightened Lamp - Supporting a start up business to gain investment 608 kb
      This start-up business based in Surrey aims to collect and re-process spent lighting tubes. Enlightened Lamp had already identified potential customers and the processing equipment required but needed specific support with developing a business plan to help secure investment, so turned to the Business Development Service at WRAP.

      Established in New Zealand, Eco Cover has developed and patented a fertiliser-enriched
      mulch mat made from 87% recycled paper. As a newcomer to the UK Eco Cover approached the Business Development Service for advice on the waste and recycled paper markets, and how best it could attract potential investors.
    • Lightweight Aggregates Ltd Case Study 305 kb
      Lightweight Aggregates Ltd is a joint venture between Day Group Ltd and Hasopor of Norway aiming to establish a manufacturing plant in the UK for foam glass, which is made from waste glass. The company received support from WRAP to assist with the introduction of the material into the UK market.
    • 2G Environmental Ltd - Case Study 303 kb
      2G Environmental Ltd is applying technologies that have been developed overseas to enable the UK construction industry to process construction waste on-site more effectively and in larger volumes, in order to produce recycled materials with a real commercial value. 2GE is receiving support from the WRAP Business Development Service in order to launch its range of on-site waste management services to the UK.
