Retail supply chain

WRAP works with businesses throughout the retail supply chain including retailers, brands, manufacturers and the logistics sector.

The work focuses on reducing packaging and food waste, and increasing the use of recycled content. We are extending this work to major brands and DIY chains, and work with retailers and the Government to reduce the impact of single-use carrier bags.

Construction

The construction industry remains the single largest user of material resources in the UK economy.

WRAP is helping the construction sector and their clients to use resources more efficiently and halve waste to landfill by 2012.

Recycling industry

WRAP works directly with all sectors of the recycling industry including waste management contractors, materials recovery facility (MRF) operators, reprocessors and manufacturers that use recycled content in the manufacturing process.

WRAP and REalliance CIC are working in partnership to deliver a programme that will increase capacity in the third sector.

Agriculture and horticulture

WRAP works with farmers, growers, crop consultants, product suppliers and growing media manufacturers to grow markets for compost products, and to establish the Quality Protocol for Compost.

WRAP is also providing capital support to help composters expand their capacity.
